Our Pandemic Anniversary “Love Always Wins”

My husband and I always try to do something special for our anniversary. This year we were suppose to be in Switzerland but the pandemic altered our plans. Although, we still wanted to do something to celebrate our love. We’ve made a tradition that each anniversary we do a photoshoot in a different location. It helps us to capture our journey and to see how we’ve grown throughout the years. This year we went to Smithville, Tennessee. Which is a hour and a half away from Nashville. We found a beautiful waterfall (Carmac Falls)located on Evins Mill. It is a 30 minute hike to get to the falls but it’s definitely worth it. The falls is located on private property so you can either stay at the resort or pay $25 to hike the property. The $25 covers lunch which can be used for an amazing picnic with your loved one. It’s the perfect weekend getaway with pure relaxation, hiking, lawn games, and fishing.

Where to stay

We stayed at the Fairlane hotel which is a beautiful establishment located in downtown Nashville. The views from the hotel are breathtaking and the atmosphere is so welcoming. It will definitely be our go to spot anytime we are in the city.
